Interior Architect- Interior Designer NCIDQ

BIO: Image

I am an NCIDQ certified Interior Designer and an Interior Architect and my interest in the design has been the driving force in all of my ventures.

In 1996, I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture at the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. After graduation, I got my first taste for high-end work as a Junior Designer at a small firm in NYC, where I worked on projects such as Versace Fifth Avenue Flagship Store, Versace Residence, their Corporate Offices on Madison Avenue and a Showroom.

After 2 years, I wanted a more challenging position where I could learn about the business side of architecture and I applied for a space planner/ project manager position on Wall Street. My stay at AIG was equally rewarding. I worked on office renovations for various corporate departments, I met with the in-house clients and managed relocations and created space planning solutions for their teams. During the 4 year stay at AIG, I learned project management and coordination with the consultants.

In 2001, I earned a Master’s Degree in Design and Technology at Parsons School of Design in NYC and post September 11, 2001, I returned to work as an Architectural Designer first at Polo Ralph Lauren, and later at Jeffrey Hutchison Associates. While at JHA, I spearheaded millwork development and production for Barney’s New York flagship retail stores in Boston, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Chicago and I  collaborated with Gensler NYC team on the ground up construction of the Las Vegas Palazzo store.

In 2011, I relocated to Toronto, where I joined the renowned entertainment design company Forrec Ltd. As a Senior Designer, I led an Interiors team working on theme parks, retail complexes and resort projects in China and Saudi Arabia.

In 2016, I founded ACA DESIGN STUDIO after recognizing my passion for helping clients with realizing the full potential for their office spaces and homes. I worked on several office renovation projects for Jonah Group and AZ Accounting. I collaborated with Revel House Architects on the Little Canada Attraction and am currently collaborating with Space Architecture on the Arcadia Earth Attraction at THE WELL building.

The combination of workplace, commercial, residential and retail projects gives me an appreciation and a keen eye for various space needs. I am proud of my attention to detail on all projects, small and large,  and I am passionate about bringing wellness and that feel good quality to spaces. My intention is to bring all the experience I gained over the years and share it with the younger generation, and always keep learning something new.
