Courtside Restaurant
As an Interior Designer Consultant for Revel House Architecture, I played a pivotal role in the development of the design concept for the basketball-themed Courtside Restaurant in Toronto. In this project, I oversaw the creation of detailed renderings and worked closely with the Revel House team to ensure the design fully embodied the spirit and excitement of basketball. Together, we carefully considered how to evoke the dynamic energy of the game, while ensuring the space remained functional and inviting for diners.
We integrated distinctive basketball elements into the restaurant’s design, such as court-inspired flooring that mimics the iconic hardwood surface, custom-designed seating that reflects the comfort and style of a VIP courtside experience, and wall graphics that showcase iconic moments from the sport’s history. The design also features team colors and textures reminiscent of basketball jerseys, netting, and court markings, creating an atmosphere that’s both immersive and thrilling.
The layout was thoughtfully planned to ensure fluidity between dining areas and interactive spaces, allowing guests to feel part of the action while enjoying their meal. From high-top tables that resemble the seating at the game’s sidelines to dynamic lighting that mimics the spotlight of a basketball arena, every detail was meticulously chosen to celebrate the sport while providing a modern and upscale dining experience. The result is a unique fusion of contemporary design and sports culture that not only enhances the dining experience but also celebrates the passion and excitement of basketball.
