Little Canada Exhibition Space
As a consultant for Revel House Architecture, I was involved in the design of a unique project for Little Canada Toronto, where an existing unused space was transformed into an immersive entertainment area showcasing small-scale models of various Canadian cities. The concept aimed to create a space that not only displayed the models but also provided a modern and cohesive backdrop that enhanced the experience for visitors.
I worked closely with the Revel House team to design a background space that would complement the intricate details of the miniature cities, ensuring that the environment was both visually appealing and comfortable for guests. The design focused on creating a modern aesthetic, using clean lines, neutral tones, and high-quality materials to allow the models to take center stage. Lighting was strategically placed to highlight the models while maintaining an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.
To ensure the space felt cohesive and immersive, we integrated elements of Canadian culture into the design, subtly referencing architectural styles and natural landscapes from across the country. The seating areas were designed for comfort and to encourage visitors to linger and explore the models in depth, with thoughtful layouts that facilitated easy movement and interaction with the exhibits. The result is a modern, engaging environment that not only showcases the beauty of Canada’s cities in miniature but also provides a comfortable, welcoming space for visitors to enjoy the experience.
