The theme for the kitchen renovation in this Toronto townhouse was adopted from European furniture and interior wall paneling details. The appearance of wall paneling detail on the cabinets, gives them a more sophisticated feel typically seen in the living room and dining room areas of the house. Existing millwork was replaced with new "colbourne" trimmed cabinets and drawers. The neutral yet elegant white, grey and navy palette was warmed up by adding bronze details at the faucet and lights. The entry from the living room frames out the beautiful quartz waterfall panel with honey colored drizzle pattern.
Drawing on the Inspiration from the Cousteau Resort on the same island, our team set out to create this peaceful and modern retreat with an artful flair. The surrounding blue waters, jewel tones of the sky and the Fijian Art was the inspiration for the interior architecture and the furniture and furnishings in this chic and cozy home.
Residence in Toronto
The building that was once a Peanut Factory in the historic District of Cabbagetown in Toronto, has been converted into eight airy townhouses. Each home has a unique to this area high ceilings and an open loft layout. On a sunny day, sunlight is streaming through the roof deck glass doors and full height windows.
Materials and furnishings for each space have been carefully selected in collaboration with the client with a keen eye for design and details.
The high end design of this home was achieved with help from Johnson Schwinghammer Lighting firm in New York and executed by Lyons Construction Inc. in Ontario.
Working in collaboration with the REVEL HOUSE ARCHITECTURE, ACA Design Studio put together 3 very different but unique material schemes. One of them will be used as the starting point for materials selection for the Little Canada Attraction, which is scheduled to open in the Summer of 2020.
Jonah Group THE LOFT
Creating a new lofty experience for the Jonah Group was a task which we loved. Sitting on the top floor of a historic building in the heart of the Entertainment District, this space has light, views and lots of open space to work, collaborate and "enjoy a moment".
Gym Renovation Proposal
Combining wholesomeness and luxury into one, the changing room and washroom in this gym is a unique experience. We aimed at bringing the state of the art materials and bath fixtures, functional and space conscious millwork and furniture and a touch of art.
The Jonah Group
ACA Design Studio was asked to upgrade the Jonah Group office to a modern, professional and friendly space. We achieved it with a mix of seating arrangements from Herman Miller, designed to support and encourage a variety of work styles.
Personal credenzas facilitate casual and spontaneous collaborations and ergonomic chairs and dual floating monitor arms allow people to personalize their workstations. Half-height divider screens and modesty panels promote a distraction-free work environment whenever that is needed.
